Director Geoff Morris is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. The new website design for accountants, Billings and Ellis, avoids the usual ‘accounting’ cliches to use emotive, immersive imagery and slow-paced transitions to engage visitors and invite them into discussions with the firm.
“We didn’t want to fall into any typical approach with website design for accountants when Billings and Ellis asked us to come up with a new website concept,” said Melanie Williamson of Ginormous. “I recall doing some research on competitive websites at the outset. One used different images of a downhill skiier as the featured image for every page. I’m not sure where the website designer was going with that idea, but it certainly illustrated the abstract vacuum of creativity surrounding most website design for accountants. Billings and Ellis was always going to be very different, and now it is.”
“I received my first new client enquiry from our new website within two days of launch,” said Geoff Morris.
